    Bernard Mwashita


    Master of Business Administrators (Nottingham Trent University), Higher National Diploma in Business Studies, Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS).

    Bernard is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Alliance Insurance Company. He holds an MBA from Nottingham Trent University, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS) and a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies.

    A business and social entrepreneur.  He has more than forty (40) years’ experience in the Printing and Packaging industry. He is currently a director at Pearl Stationery Manufacturers (Pvt) Ltd, Pressquip (Pvt) Ltd and Sushiland Investments (Pvt) Ltd. He also sits on the Boards of Zimbabwe UMC Episcopal Health & UMC Chabadza Norway.

    John Hoggard

    Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), Chartered Insurance Practitioner (UK)

    John worked for the Royal Insurance Company Zimbabwe, and after qualifying as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) (UK), he joined his father at Hoggard Insurance Brokers (HIB) where he was appointed a Director. He was later appointed to the main Board of Directors at Sagit Insurance Brokers Zimbabwe, a subsidiary of Anglo-American Zimbabwe. He is also a Chartered Insurance Practitioner (UK) and has been involved in the training of Insurance practitioners in South Africa and internationally.

    John has had experience in the insurance industry for 50 years, including operating in the international arena, as an owner and director of various overseas insurance entities.



    Searchmore Paradza

    Business Leadership (University of South Africa), International Executive Development (Wits Business School)

    Searchmore is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with vast experience in the service and healthcare sectors.

    He ran the financial strategies of First Mutual Holdings Limited a life assurance company and a health insurance company.  He then joined the biggest and then most prestigious private hospital group in Zimbabwe (Medical Investments Limited) as the Chief Finance Officer. He is currently the co-promoter and Managing Director of Baines Intercare Medical Centre.

    He completed his Master’s in Business Leadership Degree with the University of South Africa, and an International Executive Development Program (IEDP) with Wits Business School in conjunction with London Business School in 2018.

    He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). In 2022 he was the first and only participant in the International Hospital Federation (IHF) Young Executive Leadership (YEL) Program from Zimbabwe. He is one of the first YEL Alumni Ambassadors and represents the Africa and Eastern-Mediterranean region.

    Searchmore also carries out Board assignments for the InnBucks Trust and Bishopslea School.



    Leslie John Chimenya

    Leslie is holder of a Business Administration and Management Degree from ZEGU and a Certificate in Business Entrepreneurship and Development (YALI). He is currently the Resort Manager at Tamarind Holiday and Conference Centre. He previously worked for Maranatha Gardens and ZAOGA FIF Headquarters as an Administrative Assistant and Assistant Human Resources Manager, respectively.



    Gavin Goldhawk

    Gavin is the Head Business Operations Support for Standard Bank Africa Regions and Head of Operational Excellence for Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe. He holds various qualifications in Management Education and Executive Leadership. He joined Standard Chartered Bank in 1976 and then moved to Standard Bank of South Africa in 1990 and has served in Zimbabwe since 1994. He Provides a broad range of professional consultancy skills through guidance and best practice to manage projects of a strategic nature using the Agile approach and New Ways of Work in Customer Journey initiatives and to review the effectiveness of end-to-end macro business processes in line with strategic objectives.

    Brian is the Managing Director of Alliance Insurance Company. With more than twenty (20) years’ experience in the insurance industry, he started his insurance career with Aon Minet in 2001 which became known as Minerva Risk Advisors. He served as General Manager of Minerva Risk Advisors for 12 years before joining Alliance Insurance Company in 2021. During his career at Minerva, Brian managed the insurance portfolios of close to 50% of companies listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, ranging from manufacturing, agro-processing, mining, retailers and banks among others. Brian has actively been involved in the development of the industry through conducting training at the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe, sitting on industry committees at Insurance Brokers Association of Zimbabwe in the past and now chairing the Special Risks Insurance Consortium and Technical Committee of the Insurance Council of Zimbabwe.

    Brian holds an Executive Development Programme (University of Witswatersrand) and is an Associate of the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe (IIZ).
